Architectural Opportunity

Queen Street Mall, shopping In the heart of Brisbane city.  Originally the main artery of shopping retail in city, social system core and international location.  Circumstance has lead to a shift in the value of retail space and Agricultural Land.  Agricultural Land become more valuable.  There is a strong demand for residential due the population increase.  The Myers centre has been pinpointed as an possible catalyst for this change in direction. Integrating existing retail, residential and commercial in a urban cultural centre. The architectural opportunity exists here and is to begin immediately.

  1. Individual: Vision and People teased out well; more emphasis required on outcomes.
Team: Good exploration of scenario in which Australian land has been bought by foreign interests, but light on sustainability issues and architectural possiblities. How would the Myer Centre and surrounds be affected and what specific projects could be envisaged with such a scenario?

  2. I don't see any progression of ideas & thoughts. Please review Blackboard guidelines for Weeks 7,8,9 & 10. This coming Friday you should be confirming your "...thinking about a series of events that are to take place in your architecture fiction".

  3. Is everything okay? I don't see any signs of ideas or thoughts progressing. Are you intending to present an architectural proposal for Project 2?
