Week 8 Spaces and Users


Ground Level: Site entry points, community Spaces/internal and external community users;
  • Burnett Lane adjacency space, space to activate the lane via commercial installation or fixed installation that enables interaction.  Possible direct connection with sun, open up space.
  • Adelaide Street adjacency, main entry threshold important that this space is activated.  Critical to maintain existing facade.

Ground, first (possible second) level commercial heart, community Spaces/internal and external community users;
  • Existing building to be maintained where possible. Back wall to be opened up to connect to Burnett Lane adjacency space.
  • Consider operations here??? Restaurant, retail pods that focus on product experience.
  • Vertical circulation node for commercial first and second floors.
  • Ablution
  • Bicycle storage space, resident lockable and broader community space allocation.

Tower Levels, internal community;
  • Maintenance, plant and equipment space.
  • Agriculture space, growing, equipment, storage, sorting.
  • Leisure community space
  • Residential apartments
  • Circulation, horizontal and vertical.
